Power Transmission Export Base of Jiangsu Province was approved to establish in Baoying county, Yangzhou city, by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce and Provincial Department of Finance in December 2012. The power transmission industry is the leading industry in Baoying County. Products cover transmission, substation, power distribution, electricity,which relating to wire and cable, transformers, electrical cabinets, motors, electrical insulation such as the five major categories of thousands of varieties. In 2011 the scale of production and sales amount to 35.31 billion Yuan, accounting for nearly 46% of the total county industrial. Exports amounted to 260 million dollars, accounting for 62.8% of the county's total exports; number of employees reached 50,000 people. Provincial Machinery Federation awarded the title of the manufacturing base of the power transmission industry in Jiangsu Province in 2009.

In 2011, the power transmission industry achieved 260 million dollars in self-managed export, nearly 250 million dollars in export supply. There were 20 export performance of enterprises in the base, including one enterprise over 5 million dollars and 6 enterprises over 10 million dollars.

The base has one Chinese famous brand product, one well-known trademark in China, thirty-six provincial famous brand products, famous brand and well-known trademarks. "Baosheng" brand trademark was awarded the "famous brand of Jiangsu province" and "well-known trademark in China" title.
