Eastern Silk Market China in Shengze, Wujiang is the main part of Jiangsu Textile (Fabric) Export Base. It was founded in 1986, with an area of 4 Km2, where there are nearly 6000 textile companies and their products are exported to more than 100 countries/ regions in and abroad. It has become an important center of textile distribution, price formation and information publication in China. Its annual weaving capacity is up to 7 billion meters, while 2 million tons for fibers. In 2008 its sales broke through 58.1 billion, while export volume was close to 3 billion.
